Fit
Who each product is best for
Choose Talstor if…
- You run more than a dining room: retail, events, catering or contract work alongside service.
- You want every feature on the cheapest paid plan rather than a tier chart per location.
- You bill some work by the job and want invoices from tracked hours.
- You want one system for both front of house staff and back office admin.
Choose 7shifts if…
- POS integration and sales per labour hour forecasting drive your scheduling.
- Tip pooling and distribution need to live inside the scheduling tool.
- You run several locations and want restaurant specific benchmarks.
- Your managers already work in a restaurant tool stack you do not want to disturb.

Pricing
What you actually pay
Talstor
Priced only by how many people use it. Free up to 10 employees, then $15/mo for 25 people, $30/mo for 50 and $60/mo for 100, with custom pricing above that. Every plan includes the whole platform. During beta every plan is free.

Honest advantages
The two things we genuinely do better
1. One plan, no per location tier chart
Restaurant tools usually price per location and hide the useful labour reporting a tier or two up. Talstor prices by total headcount with everything switched on, so a second site does not restart the buying conversation and the reporting you need is already there.
2. It fits businesses that are not only restaurants
Plenty of hospitality operators also run catering, retail counters or events that get billed as jobs. Talstor handles both patterns in the same account: rosters and attendance for the floor, estimates and invoices for the billable work.
Where they win
Where 7shifts is the better buy
For a pure restaurant, 7shifts is deeper in the places that matter to a restaurant. POS integrations, sales forecasting, labour percentage targets, tip pooling and a large hospitality benchmark set are all things Talstor does not do. If your scheduling decisions come from your POS data, buy theirs.
