Fit
Who each product is best for
Choose Talstor if…
- You have 100 or fewer employees and do not want tiers deciding what you can use.
- You bill work as well as track it: estimates, work orders, job costs and invoices in one place.
- You want people onboarded from a text message without an app store download.
- You would rather pay one predictable number than assemble hubs and add ons.
Choose Connecteam if…
- You need a full HR layer: onboarding flows, training courses, quizzes and surveys.
- GPS geofencing and kiosk style clocking are hard requirements for your sites.
- You depend on an existing integration with a specific payroll or HR system.
- You are scaling well past 100 frontline employees or run many locations.
Side by side
How the two compare
| Area | Talstor | Connecteam |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | One price by headcount. Free up to 10 people, plans up to 100. Free for everyone during beta. | Free tier for small teams, then paid plans priced per feature hub, with extra user fees above the included seat count. |
| Feature access | Every feature on every plan: time, scheduling, PTO, messaging, jobs, estimates, work orders, job costing, invoicing. | Capabilities are split across Operations, Communications and HR hubs and across plan tiers, so advanced tools sit higher up. |
| Time and attendance | Clock in and out on web and mobile browser, job level punches, timesheet edits and approvals, payroll ready exports. | Mature time clock with GPS and geofencing, breaks, overtime rules and payroll integrations. |
| Scheduling | Bulk scheduling, recurring shift rules, shift swaps, employee shift view, missed clock out reminders. | Drag and drop scheduling, templates, open shifts and availability, with shift claiming. |
| Quoting to invoicing | Customers, jobs, estimates, work orders, job costing and invoicing included in the same account. | Focused on workforce operations, so quoting and invoicing usually come from a separate tool. |
| HR, training and forms | Core people records, roles and PTO policies. No course library. | Deep HR suite: onboarding flows, courses, quizzes, surveys and a document library. |
| Integrations | CSV and XLSX exports today. Third party integrations are on the roadmap. | Established integrations with major payroll and business tools. |
| Getting started | Invite by link, opens in the phone browser, add to home screen. No app store download. | Native iOS and Android apps installed from the app stores. |

Pricing
What you actually pay
Talstor
Priced only by how many people use it. Free up to 10 employees, then $15/mo for 25 people, $30/mo for 50 and $60/mo for 100, with custom pricing above that. Every plan includes the whole platform. During beta every plan is free.

A free tier covers very small teams. Paid pricing is organised into feature hubs with Basic, Advanced and Expert tiers. Each hub is billed separately, the quoted price covers a set number of users, and additional users cost extra per month, so the total depends on the configuration you choose.
We do not publish their exact figures here because they change, so price your own configuration on their site.
Honest advantages
The two things we genuinely do better
1. Nothing is gated behind a tier
This is the reason the product exists. A ten person shop gets the same scheduling, PTO policies, job costing, approvals, audit logs and exports as a hundred person one. You never discover mid quarter that the report you need lives one tier up, and you never buy a second hub to unlock a feature you assumed was included. Plans change one thing only: how many people fit.
2. Tracked hours turn into invoices
Workforce tools stop at the timesheet. Talstor carries the same record from estimate to schedule to clock in to job cost to invoice, so billable hours reach a customer invoice without a CSV round trip into separate quoting software. If you sell work by the job, that removes a whole tool and a whole reconciliation step.
Where they win
Where Connecteam is the better buy
We would rather you pick the right tool than churn in month two. Connecteam has been shipping for far longer, and it shows in three places: native mobile apps with GPS geofencing and kiosk mode, a genuine HR suite with training courses and onboarding flows, and a mature integration catalogue for payroll and business systems. Talstor exports to CSV and XLSX today and third party integrations are still on the roadmap. If any of those are non negotiable, buy theirs.
